Central Park, New York City
It was a beautiful summer day in Central Park, New York City. The birds chirped throughout the park above me as I walked through the beautiful scenic landmark. The warm sunshine rays hit me while I take in the peacefulness of the morning. This location is always so romantic and is the perfect location for NYC couple photos. I am so excited to photograph my couple’s summer engagement session at this iconic park with Kayley and Eimhin.
Summer Engagement Session at Central Park
We started the couple photoshoot at the Bethesda Terrace steps. Kayley and Eimhin were so natural in front of the camera. There were so many candid and authentic moments of their love throughout the session. It was amazing to continue capturing those moments, especially as they started dancing to the distant music that someone was playing. These two enjoy dancing a lot and it was so much fun watching them showcase such intimate moments in front of me on this beautiful warm summer day.
Central Park Engagement Session at Bethesda Terrace
We strolled through the Bethesda Terrace and stopped at the iconic Bethesda Fountain. The water fountain makes such a stunning backdrop for the summer engagement session. The grand angel was extremely mesmerizing and attracted a lot of locals too. It is a breathtaking view that I will never get enough of as a New York City engagement photographer.
Couple Photos in front of Central Park Boathouse
We walked toward the lake with the Central Park Boathouse in the background. The couple was surrounded by strong greeneries with blooming trees and lake reflections. It was a beautiful view as the sun shined behind them. This New York City engagement was so lovely with the perfect moment in the dav!
NYC Central Park Engagement Session at Bow Bridge
Next, we strolled toward the Central Park Bow Bridge that spans across Central Park Lake, connecting Cherry Lake and the Ramble. This newly constructed arc bridge made up of light and hardened wood is such a picturesque landmark for this NYC engagement session. Rowboats make their way through the lake and under the arc bridge with more laughter coming from every angle. It was such a peaceful sight with many people enjoying their perfect summer day in the city.
We had one outfit change for this engagement shoot and the couple’s new engagement outfits complemented this bridge perfectly! We stopped to capture more romantic pictures of the two.
Kayley and Eimhin were such a natural and I couldn’t help but smile at how beautiful they looked together. They fit so well together and create such a sweet atmosphere around them.
I always enjoy getting to know my couples, especially if I’m photographing their wedding. This session is always the perfect time to learn more about each other and show my couples how I work as a photographer. My style is light and airy and I have more tendency to create and pose my couples to get the perfect shot. That doesn’t mean I don’t have any candid moments! I have a mix of both and I highly recommend always doing an engagement session with your wedding photographer to see if you fit well with each other. Your wedding day is very important and will only happen once. An engagement session is part of the process and it’s important to be comfortable with all your vendors, especially your photographer for such a big day!
Summer Couple Session in NYC
Finally, we ended the engagement session in front of the lake with the beautiful arc bridge and the rest of the city skyscrapers in the background. It was a private moment in this engagement session, especially with less traffic of people walking through.
These romantic moments were so special to capture as Kayley and Eimhin enjoyed each other’s presence on this beautiful day. It was so much fun and I cannot wait to capture their wedding day next year!
