It was a beautiful spring wedding day at the luxury hotel, Olde Mill Inn located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. I walked through the elegant French-styled glass entrance doors of this northern New Jersey wedding venue hotel. A grand staircase welcomes me in the middle of the lobby of this hotel wedding venue. I instantly felt as if I was in a historical European destination wedding with all the classic and historical ambiance exuding from this venue. My eyes adjusted to the natural light coming through the large windows as I walked up the steps. I spot the English Garden courtyard through the main windows, set up beautifully for the wedding ceremony that is happening later that day. This Basking Ridge Hotel was enchanting and unique and I am so excited to capture Lea and Eric’s spring wedding day!
Groom Details at Olde Mill Inn Wedding Venue
We start the day off with some beautiful details for both the bride and groom. I am so obsessed with the bride’s blue wedding colors throughout her invitations and bouquets. I photographed all the groom’s details before heading to the groom’s suite for his getting-ready photos. As he puts on his cufflinks, tie, and blue-tailored suit, I can feel his excitement through my lens. His first look moment with the bride at this New Jersey hotel wedding venue is right around the corner. Getting dressed in this groom’s suite makes the moments so much more real. After getting dressed, we waited for the cue to head toward the first look.

Finally, it was time for the first look. Lea and Eric are having their first look outdoors with the enchanting English Garden as the backdrop. The bride walks up behind the groom and I can see the groom’s reaction brightened up as he turned around. It was such a beautiful moment and I could see Lea’s tears coming out as they stayed there. The moment was unforgettable and emotional. First looks make you feel that way. It’s a moment shared between you and your significant other that’s so intimate that time feels like it’s been frozen. It’s such a wonderful moment to witness and capture for the bride and groom.

This wedding couple is doing a private vow before the wedding ceremony. This is a wedding trend that I love! It feels so intimate after your first look moment and you have so much more time to absorb the words. The promises made between you two, a secret shared that only you two will know. This is a very touching moment that I love capturing as a New Jersey wedding photographer!

And now, it’s time for the wedding ceremony! The setup was stunning at this English Garden-themed wedding venue. The wedding venue as the backdrop for the bride and groom is classy and elegant. It was such a perfect moment as the bride walked down the aisle to her soon-to-be husband. The sun starts coming out after hiding behind the clouds the entire day throughout the wedding ceremony. As they exchanged their rings and had their first aisle kiss as husband and wife, cheers erupted throughout this luxury wedding venue. What a beautiful and romantic sight!

Indoor Reception Details at Luxury Hotel Wedding Venue
Next, it was time for cocktail hour with the wedding reception right around the corner. I love photographing all wedding decor because it’s a design that the bride thoughtfully put together. It is a vision that is shared with all her wedding guests after a wonderful wedding ceremony. These wedding table decorations represent her and her wedding theme as a wedding bride. It is always fun to document all the wedding decor!

Before the wedding reception, we snuck the bride and groom out one last time for some outdoor portraits. These wedding portraits in front of Olde Mill Inn were stunning. The French-inspired architecture at this Basking Ridge Hotel as their backdrop was beautiful and timeless.

The bride and groom enter the grand ballroom for their first dance. The crystal chandeliers and antiqued class mirrors spotted throughout the wedding reception created a classy and historical ambiance. Their slow first dance was absolutely romantic and a perfect way to end the night! I am so happy that I could be a northern New Jersey wedding photographer for this Olde Mill Inn wedding.
