Some of my favorite places to hang out or stroll through when the weather is nice include Central Park and the Tribeca Pier. It was a sunny day at Gantry Plaza State Park in the middle of fall for a romantic surprise proposal in NYC. There were some hints of clouds with the water glistening from the sun's reflections. I walk through the pier and hear the gentle waves as calming white noise on this peaceful morning. It was breathtaking to see this NYC public park's beautiful vibrant autumn leaves with the iconic Manhattan skyline as the backdrop across the East River. I hid in plain sight, pretending to be a local sitting on a bench with my camera near me. I see a couple walking through the romantic path with their Schnoodle, Dunkin.
A Proposal Session at Gantry State Park, Long Island City
It was a beautiful spring day in NYC and I am so excited to be Theo’s NYC proposal photographer. Theo has been planning to propose to his five-year long-term girlfriend, Carmel for a while. I went upstairs on this beautiful afternoon in the lively city streets to Carmel and Theo’s NYC apartment rooftop in Soho. There was a beautiful floral setup that Theo and his family had prepared the night before. It looked so romantic with the NYC skyscraper backdrop and was the perfect secluded area for a private proposal. It was on the windier side this afternoon but it was still a sunny bright day for a NYC proposal.
