An Elegant Larchmont Yacht Club Wedding Day with Liz and Tyler

Larchmont Yacht Club in Westchester, New York

It was a beautiful summer day for a yacht club wedding in Larchmont – Westchester, New York. I couldn’t wait to be part of Liz and Tyler’s beautiful wedding day! The sun radiated against my face as I walked through the bride’s front manicured lawn. I stared at her unique, grand white stucco sliding mansion with a Tudor-style appearance. There were steeply pitched gable roofs and elegant stonework for the entire exterior. It felt so peaceful to have a wedding day in upstate New York as a New York wedding photographer. I am always so excited to photograph in different areas of New York such as Larchmont – not just New York City weddings. I know this will be a perfect and romantic wedding day and I am all for it!

Bride Getting Ready in Larchmont, New York

I hear sounds of laughter as the bride’s front door welcomes me. The cool air from the air conditioner sweeps through my body as I step in and away from the steaming sun. I go upstairs to where the rest of the girls are getting ready for the big wedding day. All the bridesmaids were sprinkled around the room, all in different stages of getting ready but were all actively engaged in their group conversation. I gave Liz a huge hug as her makeup artist continued to work on her beautiful natural-looking makeup style. I can already tell it will be a fun day!

To start the big day, I photograph all the details that Liz has handpicked and put together for her summer yacht club wedding. Her love for the sage color palette is wonderful and matches her very well. I see this color reflected in her mid-century modern-designed home with a fabulous green floral wall hallway to her backyard porch. Getting ready in her childhood home for her big wedding day is what makes everything extra special. This setting is a reflection of her upbringing, moments before the church ceremony.

As the girls finished their makeup and hair, we grabbed some fun, candid photographs of their pajamas outside of the bride’s backyard. They cheered their champagne to a happy wedding day before Liz started putting on her lacey wedding dress.

Now, it is time to put the fancy wedding dress on! It was such a fun morning as Liz’s mom helped dress the bride for the big day. Every moment was precious and sweet, from the dress to the bridal sleeves to the shoes. Liz looked stunning for her first look with Tyler and it was time for that in no time!

First Look Moment

First look moments are my favorite. The bridesmaids and groomsmen remained upstairs as Liz and Tyler snuck out for their first look in the backyard. It was a perfect private moment for them to see each other for the first time. After a few moments together, we started photography bride and groom photos. We got a mix with this beautiful real estate from the exterior designs to the interior decorated style. With the lush green backdrop behind them, they looked like they stepped into a botanical garden. My favorites were in front of Liz’s front yard with the beautiful white architecture mansion as their backdrop. It was as if they were royalties stepping out of their palace for a stroll. Every moment was just pure elegance.

Outdoor Larchmont Wedding Party Photos

After grabbing outdoor bride and groom wedding photos for this Larchmont Yacht Club wedding, we pulled their closest friends and families in as well. The bride and groom were relaxed and truly enjoying themselves as they surrounded themselves with some of their favorite people. When we wrapped up the group photos, it was already time to head to the church for the wedding ceremony!

Church Ceremony at Larchmont Avenue Church

The entire morning flew by so quickly! The wedding ceremony was just a few blocks away from Liz’s home at Larchmont Ave. It was a quick walk and I could already see guests walking into the grand church. The wedding ceremony was so emotional and as Liz walked down the aisle with her dad, I could show it was really sinking in for her. Her eyes watered as she walked toward her soon-to-be husband. This is why I love being a wedding photographer. These moments can be relived through beautiful photographs that can be stored with them for a lifetime!

Huge congratulations to Liz and Tyler!

Larchmont Yacht Club Wedding

After the wedding ceremony, we headed straight to the yacht club wedding venue at Larchmont Yacht Club. My senses are awakened by the sights and sounds of a picturesque waterfront oasis. The gentle lapping of waves against the docks creates a soothing melody, while the salty tang of the sea air fills my lungs with vitality. Majestic sailboats sway gracefully in the harbor, their masts reaching toward the azure sky in silent tribute to the art of seafaring. The manicured lawns and gardens exude an air of timeless elegance, with vibrant blooms adding splashes of color to the verdant landscape. The charm of this historic clubhouse with its colonial architecture always captivates me. From the sweeping views of Long Island Sound to the intimate nooks nestled along the shoreline, every corner of this idyllic venue beckons with the promise of romance and celebration.

We grabbed beautiful photos of Liz and Tyler as they strolled through the beautiful waterfront view. From the wonderful yacht club water view to the first dance inside Larchmont Yacht Club, every moment was just picture perfect to photograph.

Congratulations to Liz and Tyler again for their beautiful yacht club wedding day! I am so happy to be part of their day as a New York wedding photographer!
