The skyline and glowing sun shimmered across the river. The atmosphere felt calm and intimate, with the city stretching endlessly behind them. I waited at our agreed spot and made sure he saw me. He nods at me to acknowledge, and I hold my breath. The surprise proposal moment we were all waiting for unveils in front of me.
When he stopped, turned toward her, and dropped to one knee, the moment felt suspended in time. Her reaction – pure surprise followed by joyful laughter and tears – was raw, emotional, and deeply genuine. She was completely thrown off guard. I smiled as she continued to react in shock.
