New England Wedding in Oceanview Of Nahant, Massachusetts

The Salem Waterfront Hotel and Oceanview of Nahant in Massachusetts

I am so happy to be part of Sofia and Zach’s New England wedding photographer! It was a beautiful summer day in August. I took an airplane straight out of NYC’s JFK Airport at sunrise to Boston Logan International Airport in Massachusetts. Being in Massachusetts for this destination wedding was exhilarating. The weather was perfect and sunny for an ocean-view beach wedding.

Wedding Details

We started the day getting ready at the Salem Waterfront Hotel. I loved capturing Sofia’s beautiful color palette of pink and white. As I stayed in the elegant bridal suite overlooking the waterfront, I could feel the atmosphere humming with excitement. The hair and makeup artists continue to work their magic with the bridal party. The sound of bustling activity inside is accompanied by the gentle lapping of waves against the shore outside. As final touches are applied and dresses are fastened, the bride and her bridesmaids share heartfelt moments of camaraderie and support. I could see they were savoring the significance of the day ahead of them.

Groom Getting Ready Inside Salem Hotel Waterfront

Meanwhile, in the groom’s quarters, laughter and camaraderie fill the air as the groomsmen don their suits and exchange jokes, eagerly awaiting the moment they stand by their friend’s side as he takes his vows. Amidst the flurry of preparations, the Salem Waterfront Hotel serves as a tranquil oasis, a haven of calm and elegance where love and celebration intertwine against the backdrop of the picturesque waterfront. As a New England wedding photographer, I am incredibly happy to be able to capture every moment and detail at this destination wedding!

Outdoor First Look Between Bride and Groom in Massachusetts Wedding

After getting ready with Zach, we went outside of the Salem Waterfront Hotel for the first look. This intimate moment between Sofia and Zach was extremely sweet. Seeing your best friend for the first time on your wedding day will truly calm your nerves about what’s to come. I stood afar as Sofia and Zach exchanged their private vows for each other. I could feel the emotions and joyfulness from them as they made their lifetime promises to each other. As a wedding photographer in New England, it was amazing to see this additional vow moment!

Fun Wedding Party Moments At Oceanview of Nahant Wedding Venue

After spending some time capturing the bride and groom’s private moments and their wedding portraits, we make our way to the Oceanview of Nahant at the heart of Nahant, Massachusetts. This waterfront wedding venue sets a beautiful stage for a breathtaking wedding ceremony. We utilized the spare time we had to capture the wedding party with the bride and groom in front of the waterfront. Candid moments of the wedding party were extremely fun to capture at this New England coastal wedding venue.

Indoor Jewish Tradition Wedding Ceremony at Oceanview of Nahant

Before the guests started trickling in for the bride and groom’s wedding ceremony, Sofia and Zach’s immediate family and closest friends gathered inside the wedding venue to perform the Ketubah signing with the Rabbi. The Ketubah signing is a Jewish marriage contract between the bride and the groom that is done before the ceremony occurs. Two witnesses also signed the contract along with Sofia and Zach, who was the maid of honor and best man in this case. Then, the Ketubah is read in front of the guests during the ceremony. It was a photograph of an intimate moment for Sofia and Zach and how different cultures are incorporated into a wedding day!

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony In Front of Water Front in Massachusetts

Finally, it was time for the wedding ceremony and to walk down the aisle! The tranquil beauty of the seaside sets a picturesque scene for an unforgettable celebration. While the guests entered the wedding ceremony, we were all greeted by the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore and the salty breeze in the air.

After Sofia and Zach take their place at the altar, they circle each other seven times. This is to symbolize the seven wedding blessings and seven days of creation. It is so captivating to capture this Oceanview wedding ceremony against the shimming Atlantic Ocean backdrop. Their loved ones watch on as their faces are illuminated by the soft glow of the setting sun of Sofia and Zach. As they exchanged rings and sealed their union with a kiss, everyone got up and cheered. Zach then stomps on a prepared glass, covered inside a cloth bag. Although, there are many meanings behind this custom. Most say this represents the fragility of human relationships with a commitment to stand by one another in hard times.

Applause fills the air as the newlyweds make their way back down the aisle. Mazel Tov! Congratulations to Sofia and Zach!

Sunset Wedding Portraits With Beach Backdrop

I grabbed Sofia and Zach for some romantic sunset photos outside of Massachusetts’s Oceanview of Nahant wedding venue. The purple and light blue hues in the sky reflected on the clear water. It made such a stunning backdrop against the stoned beach.

As the night came to a close, I smiled feeling fulfilled for a beautiful day. I am so happy to be able to capture such a romantic day at Oceanview of Hahant as a New England wedding photographer.
